Green Design

Olivia @ 1:11 pm

Personally, I am huge proponent of green design and believe that green design is not only our future, but our moral obligation. I endorse the following guidelines:

• Advocacy for safe and benign products and services. Development and promotion of buildings, spaces, and products that are environmentally produced in a socially just manner and safe for all living things.
• Eliminate the use of any product or process that is known to pollute air, water, or earth.
• Make use of renewable natural resources, including the protection of vegetation, wildlife habitats, open spaces, and wilderness.
• Minimize waste through the reduction, reuse, or recycling of products and encourage the development and use of reclaimed, salvaged, and recycled products.
• Reduce energy use by adopting energy-conserving strategies, and choose renewable energy sources.

Whenever feasible, Olivia Interior Design will endeavor to practice sustainable design.

We need to meet present-day needs without compromising the ability to meet the needs of future generations.Olivia Lung, Principal
